Creating interdisciplinary lessons for Polish community schools
Opublikowano November 20 2024 by piotr.gajewski@cavatina.plWe are launching a new educational project aimed at Polish communities abroad, primarily targeting teachers and students from Polish schools. The project has received funding as part of the Polish Senate’s program to support the Polish diaspora and Poles abroad in 2024 and will be implemented through the end of the year. Our goal is to enhance the competencies of Polish community teachers from Lithuania, the United Kingdom, and Italy in the K’IDS transposition method. Workshops, discussions, and collaborative development of educational materials will help create new teaching methods, fostering the development of key competencies in Polish community students.
The substantive basis of the project is the K’IDS program – the original action of the Holistic Think Tank. It is a modern form of methodological and didactic support. K’IDS aims to give a humanistic dimension to school programs, within the framework of the current core curriculum. This approach allows students not only to deepen their knowledge in various fields but also to develop social and emotional skills, which is necessary in the context of functioning in a global community.
